Q.Does Being Bad relate well to the other modules you are taking?
This module engaged me to think in a different way than the assignments I have been given. Some of the weekly titles in the module will in someway link to the outcome of Social Policy and Social during employment.
Q. Have you found 'Being Bad' too demanding, too easy, or at an appropriate level?
Being Bad has helped me to think critically and rationally in regards to the weekly subjects.
Q. Do you think the list of topics covered on the module appropriate?
I think some of them are relevant but i done see the relevance of bad comedians and the Kids movie.
Q. Are there any topics not included in the module that you would like to see included?
I think it would be good to include racism and prejudice. Although they can be difficult subjects to talk about, I think it is very important to see that racism still exists very strongly.
Q. Do you think the format of the class has worked well?
I think a change of rooms would control some of the students. Many of them were loud and there were many different conversations taking place at any one time. Even though I always sat at the front of the room, I had difficulty in hearing the lectures at times.
Q. What do you think of the module team?
I think the team knew their subjects, but having different lectures each week, it didnt really make time for student and tutor relationship to form.
I think as a whole it would have been better to have a room other than the lecture theatre, that way other students would be able to get to know each other. Small group discussions would be good as it would help other student to have n idea of what other students think about the subjects.
Having different formats to hand in assignments helps students to think more rationally. I enjoyed creative writing but did not understand much about how to format the other types of presenting the assignments.

It all depends on how well I do with this one.

I didn't like the blogs, so I will say no to this question.
Q. What did you think of the assessments?
I think it would have been better to have a 1000 words essay than two short pieces.
Q. What have you learned from the module.
That it is hard for me to self direct my study.
Q. What parts of the module have you found most useful and why?
Listening to the lectures and learning how they dumb down words which sound more difficult than they actually are. I also found the workshop very useful to have just before the main lecture.
Q. What parts do you think were a waste of time and why?
Going to watch a video, hardly anyone turned up. It would have been better to show slides and give our leaflets about a particular movie.
Q. Are there any other comments you wish to make regarding 'Being Bad'.?
Overall it was interesting and enjoyable.

George "Butch" Cassidy was a skilled thief. During his outlaw days and unlike other bandits and outlaws, he managed not to kill anyone while he was on the rampage. This was one of the reasons why he was a mystique of bandit.

Apache Kid:
Apache Kid's real name was Haskay-bay-nay-natyl which means tall man destined to meet a mysterious ending. As his name was too long and difficult to pronounce, he was nicknamed kid.
He worked as a scout in the Indian scouts and met up with the chief of scouts and rode alongside him.
Kid was normally a good person but got caught up in a wrong situation at the wrong time that would leave two men dead and the prospects of a prison sentence. In 18878, he and his fellow Apache's from the scouts made fermented fruit corn which was illegal called Tiswin. The laws had found out about this and two men had ended up dead back at eh camp where they brewed the tiswin.
This event had helped him into becoming a ruthless outlaw with no remorse to kill anyone who stepped in his way.
Outlaws are not usually ruthless heartless criminal, circumstances take them to destinations that many of us would not ever dare to tread. However, this style of living is unhealthy, imprudent, detrimental and wrong.

Body modification entry 2

Body modification.
Why would anyone want to permanently alter their appearance to look like this?
Normally when you think of body piercing, it would be the piercing of ears the most common one, but if you want to go a little further you may want to do your nose, navel, tongue lips and nipple. These type of piercings are generally the normal acceptable types of body piercing, these form of body modification are know as body art.
Other forms of body modification are usually due to cultural factors such as tribe engraving images of people, patterns, icon and animals on parts of the body as a part of ritual and commitment.
Other forms of modification can be seen as plastic surgery. Many people often women have plastic surgery in search of looking younger or creating the perfect body. Research shows that body modification can become addictive. People who start surgery often feel the need to have something else done for now step closer for their perfection.
If it makes them feel better within themselves then why not? Although sometimes body modification can look gruesome, its not immoral but can be imprudent and unhealthy.

Telling Lies:
We all do it and if anyone says they don't, is a liar.
We all want people to be honest with us, so it would be very useful if we could detect when someone is lying. According to the experts, body language plays a very important role in being able to tell if someone is lying.
Some of the signs to be able to specify if someone is lying are, physical expression will be limited and stiff, the movement of the body will be limited, as the liar may close themselves in, lack of eye contact, touching of the face, ears, mouth, scratching the nose and messing with the ears are signs to be able to identify if someone is lying.
Expressions are limited to mouth movements when someone is faking emotions when someone is caught out in a lie, they usually get defensive.
Lying to some degree I think is o.k and is human nature to lie as people often lie to protect someone else from getting hurt. Some people also lie to get themselves out of uncomfortable situations.
Overall, so called little white lies are quite harmless, but lying about a crime to get out of trouble as well as illegal it is also immoral, unhealthy and imprudent.

Swine Flu

Swine Flu Hype.
Ever since the craze of the pandemic of swine flu, it shows how human behaviour get hyped up about something we are told over the media about something some of us don't really know about.
Over the last week, we saw the pandemic of swine flu rise to 787 people across 17 countries due to the spread of the virus.
I am very alert about the news on flu as I am considering going on holiday to Spain where there have been cases of people with the virus.
The question I am concerned with is if it is healthy to inform people on severity of the disease being as the World Health Organisation (WHO) are not even sure themselves how much widespread it can become. It is adamant to stay vigilant to help sustain the levels of people getting the disease. But the education we have been receiving should be something we should practice in our everyday lives, and not just to help eradicate and prevent the spread of swine flu.
At the moment, the swine flu is at phase 5 where large amount have been discover but remains localised. But according to WHO it looks like it will disperse into phase 6, where the virus can spread amongst people globally. This makes the swine flu pandemic unhealthy.

I think when Jaspreet touched upon the subject of racism, he was right, brave and real. Being black myself I must say that I do face experiences of racism more now than when I was younger. Unless I have become more aware of the situation as I don't think I am paranoid.
I read his little poem about the black man who walked into an only white restaurant, and putting the racist white man in his place about having the nerve to call him coloured,when he generates more colour that he does.
I think people who are racist lead very simple shallow sad lives. While they are busy disliking someone due to the colour of their skin, what sort of enjoyment are they going to have living their own lives.
I personally think they are jealous of the colour of darker our skin. After all they are the one spending money to get a tan, going abroad to risk being vulnerable to skin cancer getting a healthy glow. I think if they didn't see black people with darker skin than theirs, how would they want to have a darker complexion.
Racist people are shallow, ignorant and are losing out on getting to know other cultures. Like it or lump it, black people are here to stay as there are many of you out there.
Being racist I would say is immoral, as it wrong to portray that sort of image to children as it gears them up to be prejudice without even know why they are. It is unhealthy for the individual to prejudge someone just because of their appearance, and detrimental as it can encourage segregation.
We are all they same inside, so just deal with it.

Comedians not so funny.

Comedians.
There are many characters who call themselves comedians.
But how funny are they if they were to rule out not picking on certain groups in society?
Film comedy such as Harold Lloyd and Laurel and Hardy, are slap stick and pathetically funny, harmless but can sometimes get violent and unsafe, are allowing the audience to laugh at them. But when stand up comedy are pin pointing on certain members in society, should have certain criteria.
People who I don't idolise are Barnard Manning, as he is just a direct racist and tries to get away with it by performing it on stage and say its comedy. Benny Hill a sexist and a racist and

Other comedian including Russ Abbott who laughs at him self invites people to laugh with him rather than at him or others. helps to make people to feel happy.
Comedian Jim Davidson is to be mentored by a range of diverse celebrities, including "gay icons", black comedians and "fierce" women, for a new show in which he will attempt to confront the public negative perception of him. He had been kicked out of Hell's Kitchen in 2007 for being homophobic. I Can also remember watching him on television when he had his own show and only until now realised how racist he actually was and probably still is.
Comedians like him, I would never go and see even if it was free. Do I think he is funny, you got to be joking.

Internet.
Commenting on Natalie's view on not liking the Internet because it inspires people to become lazy, has no privacy and a bad influence. She also states that she only uses the Internet for information to do with her work.
I agree to some point that the Internet is a bad influence, but overall I find it very useful to educate everyone. I also think it is one bad if you let the Internet take over a person.
I only use to use the Internet for my assignments. Now I find that if I feel safe I will buy items from the sites that I know would be safe from viruses and intervention from hacking into my personal information. It is also very useful to look up any signs and symptoms people may have, its beneficial to find out things about health, history and keeping in touch with the latest news around the world.
Statistics shows there are over 233 countries using the Internet everyday, with over 1,596,271,000 visitors daily which accounts for 23% of the population. The Internet whether we like it or not it is a part of modern day life.
Using the Internet can be detrimental, if using illegal web site, to downloads illegal porn, music, movies. But it can be very healthy for information on health and spotting illnesses from an early stage.

Rachel's blog initiates that it is necessary to lie to children and that parents who say they don't lie to their children are lying. But are they just stalling them from answering them honestly.
I agree, I am a parent and do often avoid answering my children.
Making promises and not carying them out to children. I would not say it is a lie. However, in the children's eyes if you make a promise to them and not carry it out, then in their eyes you are not being honest with them and as far as they are concerned you are a l iar.
My children say I'm a lair many time for not carrying out promises I made to them, whether if I said I would get them something or I forgot to take them somewhere, but that it in the eyes of a child.
In the eyes of an adult, I am not a liar, I just havent got round to doing them yet. I don't think it is unhealthy, imprudent, immoral or detrimental as long as it is innocent and cannot hurt anyone.
Sometimes it is not always relevant or necessary to tell the truth.

Bandits - Bonnie and Clyde:
Outlaws:
An outlaw or bandit is a person living the lifestyle outside the rules and regulations of the law.
When we think about outlaws and Bandits. the most common outlaws in recent years for me would be Bonnie and Clyde.
In some aspects, modern day times seems to glorify them, not initially for the crimes they commit, but for the love and the commitment they seem to have had for each other.
Sticking together through thick and thin, never incriminating any of each other, regardless of what trouble they came across, according to the stores and information given by the media, they always stayed together and to the end of it all, their life was also ended by a hail of bullets.
The story tell us how they met. Initiallty they never set out to become outlaws.
According to the film, ironically they met when Clyde was caught breaking into Bonnie's car. As Bonnie lived a very restricted life by having strict parents, became fascinated by the fact that she met a robber.
Clyde proved he was a robber by stealing from a store and running off in a stolen car bringing her with him. That was the start of them being on the run for the rest of their life, robbing, stealing and killing who got in their way.
The lifestyle of Bonnie and Clyde has no means of being healthy, it is very imprudent, downright immoral and very detrimental for anyone who gets in they way.

Drugs:
There are different types of drugs used to help the functions of the body to work normally.
Narcotics to relieve pain, which can be found in heroin and codeine used by medical professionals to help ease pain. Hypnotics which include tranquilisers to helps the body to sleep.
Stimulants, this increases mental and physical energy. Inebriantes can be found in alcohol, chloroform, solvents and other chemicals.
Many types of drugs can be used and may cause side effects, but all drugs are harmful if they are misused.
All of these drugs are legal and can be used effectively providing they are used in the correct manor, in contrast, they can become addicted due to the dependency and how frequent the body is use to the drugs.
Statistics shows that younger members of society have started to use prescription drugs more regular. In 2005, the figure had risen from 850,000 to 139,00 in the space of a year. This also showed that they were using these type of drugs were not much different to the illegal drug of marijuana where the statistic was 1,219,000.
Even though these types of drugs are legal, the misuse of using them can be detrimental just as much as using illegal drugs. Overall the misuse of drugs can be dangerous and unhealthy for the body.

Smoking.
After browsing through the blogs in which I an finding it difficult to make an interesting comment, I came across this blog.
Roberts view on smoking seems to be that he disagrees with the whole actions of smoking. His blog highlights that smoking is suppossed to be a sign of attractiveness. The shape is suppose to promote the desires of sexuality.
But the blog highlights the fact as to why anyone would like to have bad breath and smelly clothes.
Not forgetting the mess it causes on the streets, stained teeth, air pollution, the lingering smell in the room where someones been smoking, the stale smell on clothes and anything else I may of forgotten.
However, I dont disagree with anyone who smokes. It would not put me off or would I be attracted to someone who did or did not smoke. I just preferred is someone who smoked did not do it around me as I hate the smell of smoke.
But I must say I always liked to Clint Eastwood with an unlit fag in his mouth.

Commenting on Cherells view on abortion.
I think the debate about abortion will always be one where there are difference of opinion.
I don't think it is wrong, as there are many genuine reason why women have them.
It can be justified for the reason that there may be some serious birth defect, it is not fair on the child to be born into a world where they are restricted due to a severe disability which the experts offer their advice for an abortion.
I also think it can be justified when the pregnancy cam about through rape and molestation. Why should the mother have to suffer the torment of the result of an horrific order and to have to look after the child. Even thought the mother may love that child unconditionally, but it should be their choice.
What I do not agree with and think it is wrong is when women look at abortion as another type of contraception. In my option it is wrong selfish and careless. Different types of contraception are available to suit almost everyone.
Statistics shows that there were 185,000 abortions in England and Wales in 2004 age ranging from between 15 - 44. The highest rate for abortion were between 18 - 19 and 20 - 24.82% of abortions were funded by the N.H.S . where 19% were done due to medical conditions.
Overall, I think it is debatable to say that abortion is bad, imprudent but it can become unhealthily, also it is legal up to a certain amount of weeks.

Speeding:
I agree with what David says on speeding.
It is immoral, no doubt dangerous, unhealthy as it can cause death, and imprudent as I don't respect anyone who drives fast or think it is cool to do so.
Some of the comments David made was driving in build up ares especially at busy times.
Hence the reason for speed humps in areas in residential ares mainly where children tend to live.
I myself is a driver. I have a held a squeaky clean licence for 12 years, I have never been stopped for speeding or have been issued a speeding ticket. If I can do it I cant see why other cant.
I live a interesting life, there is one l=thing i Will never do and that is to speed. I would rather be lat than risk speeding and risk getting hurt or worse still kill someone.
I think the T.V add where the someone who has killed a child due to speeding, have visions of the child every where they go. It must have influenced someone not to speed.

Comment on Shane Smiths blog on Tattoos and Body Modification.
After reading Shane Smiths blog on tattoos, it makes me wonder as to how some people enjoy the pleasure of pain.
I feel the sharpest pain when I stick myself with a needle and when I have to have an injection So I cant possibly see myself in having a tattoo for the reason that it is uneccessary pain.
Just like Shane I didn't see that cutting toe nails or hair as being a part of body modification.
i believe in growing old gracefully and being satisfied with the way we were born. But if I had to have any type of surgery, I think I may would just have the perfect body where i didn't need to work out to stay fit slim and healthy as it is too much hard work.

There are many stories of bandits, there are the good, (if you think it was good to rob from the rich, as maybe they were only rich through immoral earnings), or ones who rob form the rich and give to the poor (such as the very famous ROBIN hood). There are some who rob from the rich and keep it for themselves.
Legend outlaw Jessee James was one of those in the James - Young gang who was supposed to have robbed from the rich and give to the poor. But research shows that he and his gang only distributed the riches they stole amongst the gang where only they had flourished.
Jesse James grew up during the time of the time of the civil war. He derived from a broken home, his father who was an intelligent minister died when he was two and his mother married twice by the time he was 8 years old.
After the civil war many places were destroyed, he tried to help restore his family financially by robbing banks with the James - Young gang along with his brother. Many banks had foreclosed on land owners who could not pay their mortgages during the war years. Jesse James was reported to be the brains behind the bank robberies and identified himself with each of the banks before taking an interest in the money behind the counter.
His pledge to robbing banks cannot justify it being imprudent. It is also dangerous and unhealthy as people had lost their lives and immoral as people should earn their money regardless of having a bad start in life.

Comments on Yasmin Stevens Blogs
In Response to Yasmin Stevens blog, it is very heart rendering on how and why people could have the mind, thought and the audacity to hurt innocent children.
There is no justifiable reason to hurt children. On her thoughts that people like these should be circumcised from birth is unreasonable, because even though Yasmin is right in some ways, I don't think that these evil sinister individuals have those thoughts from birth and those monsters wont be singled out until they acrtually commit the offence.
I just think that the law should bring back hanging alsthough it wont solve the problems of the victim who are the children.
People like them should not be entitled to legal aid or be entitled to a solicitor and should stand and speak for themselves in the court of law. Then get sentenced to hanging on the same day through the media.
This would save room in prisons, government money and get rid of environmental pollution.
This offence is most definitely immoral, dangerous, unhealthy and imprudent.
